Bright Light reached out to NovaBytes after being referred by another client. Following a discussion about the services provided to this client, Bright Light decided to contact us to explore their Email Security needs.

Process

The implementation process for Barracuda Email Gateway Defense and Impersonation Protection for Bright Light was meticulously orchestrated to fortify their email security framework. Beginning with a comprehensive evaluation of their existing email infrastructure and security posture, we tailored a solution to specifically address their vulnerabilities and threat landscape.

We started by seamlessly integrating the Barracuda Email Gateway Defense into Bright Light’s email ecosystem. This involved configuring the gateway to filter inbound and outbound emails effectively, blocking malicious content and preventing spam and phishing attempts in real-time.

Simultaneously, we deployed Barracuda’s Impersonation Protection to bolster Bright Light’s defenses against sophisticated email-based attacks. This entailed configuring advanced threat detection algorithms to identify and thwart attempts at impersonation and domain spoofing.

Thorough testing was conducted to validate the efficacy of both solutions, ensuring they seamlessly integrated with Bright Light’s existing infrastructure and workflows.

 

Throughout the implementation, our team provided comprehensive training and support to Bright Light’s staff, empowering them to effectively utilise and manage the new security measures.

Results

  • The entire staff force at Bright Light are now protected from complex email cyber attacks attacks including phishing, malware and viruses and Account Takeovers.
  • Impersonation Protection now automatically detects and prevents impersonation, business email compromise.

  • An emergency mailbox lets users continue to send and receive emails in the event of a mail server outage or loss of connectivity.

 

As a result, Bright Light now benefits from enhanced email security, safeguarding their organisation against a wide range of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
