Bright Light, based in Edinburgh, are the largest charitable provider of relationship counselling in Scotland, offering a wide range of services to people living in the Lothians.
Bright Light came to NovaBytes after hearing about us from another client. They had a discussion about some of the work we had done for that client and they decided to contact us to discuss their Cyber Security requirements. Bright Light had a multi-tiered requirement. First of all, they weren’t backing up any of their Microsoft 365 data. They had realised they were sitting open to ransomware attacks and were at risk of data loss due to human error. Microsoft themselves actually state in their t’s and c’s that it’s recommended for companies to utilise a third party solution to back up any data held on the like of SharePoint.

The implementation process for Bright Light’s Barracuda cloud-to-cloud backup solution was seamless and efficient. Beginning with a comprehensive assessment of their existing infrastructure and data requirements we implemented a solution to meet their specific needs; all with zero downtime.
First, we configured the NovaBytes backup solution to seamlessly integrate with Bright Light’s Microsoft 365 environment.
Next, we conducted thorough testing to validate the effectiveness and reliability of the backup system. Any potential issues were promptly addressed, guaranteeing a smooth transition to the new solution.
